The East Bay Open Circle is a non-sectarian community dedicated to supporting the practices of mindful and open-hearted awareness and meditation. Though not formally affiliated with any single tradition or teacher, we are particularly inspired by the satsang and Buddhist traditions as well as by other religious and psychological traditions which support the opening of our hearts and minds and which cultivate direct experience and insight rather than belief systems.

We most often meet on Sunday evenings for talks by visiting speakers or for meditation, though we also host daylongs and retreats at other times. Please check our calendar for up-to-date information and times or email us to be on our email list to be notified of upcoming events. Please join us sometime- we're a friendly bunch!

Our intention is to keep the cost of events minimal, and though there is often a suggested donation, no one will be turned away for lack of money. Any donations to East Bay Open Circle to help defray the costs of bringing speakers to Berkeley are welcome and gratefully accepted.
